Jamaican Independence Celebration:
Sat. Aug 2nd
Los Globos 3040 Sunset 947455 linford manning

Their amazingly sweet and unique vocals plus their colorful and delightful performances have made The Cables a joy to watch live in Concert.

The Cables will be making their first Los Angeles appearance backed by The Soulutionaries, The Steady FortyFives, plus selectors, Mila and Nina Cole on August 2nd, 2014! First formed in 1963 after recording a single for Sonia Pottinger in 1966, they recorded a string of singles for Clement “Coxsone” Dodd’s STUDIO ONE label. These recordings were later compiled on the album “What Kind of World” in 1970 and spawned massive hits such as “Baby Why”, a classic riddim that employed other artists such as: Dennis Alcapone, Prince Jazzbo, and The Gladiators.
